The Rice Boat Restaurant in Kochi - Designed as a Kerala rice boat, or kettwallom, the restaurant actually exudes the feeling of one, helped by its location at the edge of the backwaters that offer a breathtaking view. During the day one can see fishing boats to small canoes gliding by, while the starlit night simply mesmerizes. The menu largely covers foods of the many areas the rice boat traverses. And there is plenty of seafood to choose from: squid, octopus, snapper or the popular Kerala pearl spot. For dessert the traditional tender coconut pudding is a favourite, a popular dessert of the Malabar region of Kerala.
